This year's meetings will be dedicated to celebrating “The Next Generation.”
From June 9th until June 14th, the program will focus on the next generation that will lead the University to new heights of achievements in education and research.
Highlights from this year’s agenda include:
  • A visit to Jerusalem Media Quarter - Once the National Mint of the British Empire, the building is now home to JVP’s venture capital fund offices and the JVP Media Labs. Visitors and employees alike enjoy an atmosphere of creativity and innovation alongside a deep respect for the history of Jerusalem and its powerful legacy. The visit will be hosted by Hebrew University alumnus, Erel Margalit, who is currently a Member of Knesset (Labor Party), and is the founder and previous managing partner of JVP.
  • A visit to Leyada, The Hebrew University Secondary School – Leyada is a semi-private high school, established in 1935 by the Hebrew University. It is located next to the Edmond J. Safra campus.
  • A visit to The Belmonte Science Center for Youth – The Center offers a state-of-the-art meeting place for youth at the interface of science and education, and forms a bridge between the formal education system and the frontiers of scientific and technological research.
  • A Gala Event: Dedication of the new home of The Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC) in The Suzanne and Charles Goodman Brain Sciences Building, with the participation of Mrs. Lily Safra.
  • A tour of The Supreme Court which is situated in Jerusalem's Givat Ram governmental campus. The current President (Chief Justice) of the Supreme Court is Miriam Naor, a Hebrew University alumna.
  • Last but not least - our annual Convocation, in which we proudly award doctorates to graduating students, in addition to the conferment of the degree of Doctor Philosophiae Honoris Causa upon honorees from around the world, including our Guest of Honor: Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD.
We look forward to welcoming you in Jerusalem for an unforgettable week of lively events, mingling with faculty and friends, honoring our donors, and celebrating our achievements as Israel’s leading university.
